December, 1999:

 The National Conference of Catholic Bishops/United States Catholic Conference requested   Korean  American Deasons Association(KADA) to organize The National Association of   Asian-Pacific American Deacons (NAAPAD).

  October, 2000:

  Following deacons were elected at the 2000 KADA Annual Convention as organizing  committee members   for the National Association of Asian-Pacific American Deacons:

             Deacon James J. Yun, Chairman,  

             Deacon  Michael J. Om and Deacon Pascal Hong.

  Letter from Deacon Gerard Wilson, Executive Director, Secretariat for the Diaconate,

  October, 2001:

  Deacon James J. Yun, Chairman,  resigned the chairmanship with health reason.  Deacon Pascal   Hong took over the chairmanship.
