the emails between Deacon Luan Tran, the president of NAAPAD and Deacon Joseph CJ Lee,

the past president of NAAPAD are attached below.

From: Deacon Luan Tran

To: Deacon  James Lim, Deacon Paul M. Chin, Michael Hoang,

Cc: Deacon Joseph CJ Lee

Subject: NAAPAD meeting.

Date: Tue, 06 Oct 2009

Dear Deacon James Lim,

Peace be with you,

I would like to let you know that I ran out vacations for this year, because of many importance things came up and I had to used vacation days. I'm a shift worker, I am working 2 weekends of a month and most of the activities fall on weekends so that I would't be able to have a NAAPAD meeting.

As another reason that since The USCCB combined some of the departments together to saved money. The Nation Organization's of Deacon had never been invited to meeting with Bishops any more, and I don't know it will have meeting in the future any more. So now NAAPAD is in your hands. For now I don't have any  Vietnamese Deacon nominate to be member of the Board of Director.

Please accept my apology for not doing my job as a president.

Let me know what I can do to help in future and what we should do with treasure?

May God bless you and all of what you do for NAAPAD.

In Christ,

Dcn Luan Tran

Dear Deacon Luan,

Deacon James Lim in Los Angeles was/is spending very difficult time because of his wife's illness.  So I believe that officially you are still in charge of NAAPAD. Now you have to call the NAAPAD's general meeting soon.  I, as ex-chairman, going to help you the general meeting.  We can meet again in Washington, DC. or in the Orange County, CA.  I think that we don't have to combine with the National Deacon's Associations.  We don't expect many deacons attending.

Would you please deeply consider reorganizing the Asian Deacons Group in USA.  I believe that is our mission this day!

May the Lord bless you!

Dcn. Joseph Lee
